The 2015 host city for the 54th International Surf Festival is the City of Hermosa Beach. The event promotes the four South Bay beach cities, the world’s best lifeguard service, and physical fitness for thousands of participants.  Participants range in age from 8 years old to the late 80’s.  The three signature events for the festival are the Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay, the Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim, and the Charley Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament.  Other great events include a surfing contest, bodysurfing contest, beach run, paddleboard race, dory race, and youth events

The 24th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture (FPAC) will feature contemporary and traditional Filipino food, music, dance, crafts and culture. The festival, the City of Los Angeles' Filipino American Event, is the longest-running Filipino cultural celebration in Southern California. This year’s theme for the City of Los Angeles' Filipino American Event is “Balik tanaw, Pananaw bukas” a Tagalog phrase meaning “looking back, moving forward.”

The Crabby Crab Seafood & Crab House has dropped anchor in Sherman Oaks. Our mission is to round up the freshest seafood and the finest ingredients available for our guests to indulge in. Our mouthwatering seafood, offered by the pound, will be “sauced” up with our tried-and-true homemade flavors and spiced to anyone’s liking.  Beyond that, we stock a full bar along with a fresh rotation of craft and micro beers on tap.
